Update on LD 92: An Act to Minimize the Propagation of Invasive Aquatic Plants

The “milfoil bill” is still in committee. In January 2023, it was referred to the Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. This group has not always been sympathetic to conservation as they tend to favor the "rights” of fisherman and hunters. If so moved, KLA members can help by providing input through the public comments section at Maine.gov to state their opinion that supporting this bill is imperative.
