2024 Keoka Lighted Boat Parade

The judges were Brenda Hambleton (Keoka Lake Association) and Chris Searles (Keoka Beach Campground).  The quality of competition was excellent which made the judging difficult,  Nevertheless,  our unanimous conclusion was:

​

  • 1st Place -- Wizard of Oz

  • 2nd Place -- McTryder's Misfits

  • 3rd Place -- Keoka Avengers

  • Best Small Boat -- Ginny Haase

  • Best Dock -- The Rungs

​Finally, at the award ceremony, the boaters reported that there was an excellent turnout on the docks and beaches around the lake,  Estimates of the total number of people watching from the shore ran as high as 100 people or more,  So the event touched many more people than the participants.

Thank you all for participating and making this event a success,   Looking forward to an even bigger and better boat parade in 2025!!

Wizard of Oz

Team McIrney secured first place with a trip somewhere over the rainbow.  Oz was complete with a house, tornado, and Dorothy's escape balloon and basket.  They won a $150 gift certificate to the KBC gas dock.

Celtics for the Win!

Team Butts celebrated the 18th Celtics championship.  They even invited the Celtics mascot Lucky the Leprechaun!

Ghouls on the Go

The Aiellos make you wonder who your Keoka boaters are.  They look like a pretty scary trio.

Come for the Fun

The Lovelys showed that you don't have to decorate to participate in the parade.  They also provided the tow for Ginny Hasse.

McTryder's Misfit Farm

The Tryder's boat brought a farm of misfits, including a panda and a leopard, to Keoka.  They won a $100 gift certificate to the KBC gas dock.

Kayak Parade

Ginny Haase showed that you don't need a motor to enter enter the parade.  She paddled away with the non-powered boat prize of $25 of store credit.

Amore di Keoka

The Robichauds brought a bit of Venice to Keoka with their wooden gondola.

Keoka Avengers

The Keoka Avengers were out in force to save lake lovers from invaders.  Team Agganis showed Marvel how it is done and walked away with third place and a $50 gas gift certificate.

Decked Out Dock

The Rung's showed off their decorating skills and wowed everyone with their display and won a $75 gift certificate.

Everyone enjoyed the after part on the KBC beach.
